Sun Park, MD, specializes in caring for adults with infectious diseases, with a focus on immunocompromised patients, including those who have undergone solid organ or hematopoietic stem cell transplants or cancer treatments. Dr. Park is committed to building trust through mutual respect and effective communication in every patient encounter. Passionate about ensuring a positive experience for everyone she sees, she considers it a privilege to interact with and learn from her patients.
Dr. Park became a doctor because she was fascinated by human pathophysiology, microbiology and immunology. That curiosity, and the ability to pursue advancements that will improve patient outcomes, drives her research efforts. Dr. Park’s work is centered on better understanding how and why infectious diseases occur, as well as findings strategies to prevent infectious disease in transplant patients.
Dr. Park received a master’s degree in epidemiology from Columbia University in New York and her medical degree from Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea.
Dr. Park serves as a clinical assistant professor in the division of infectious diseases at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. She is a member of the American Society of Transplantation. She has authored multiple articles published in peer-reviewed journals.
