About Shiqian Chinoy Li, MD
Shiqian Li, MD, is an interventional pulmonologist and critical care physician at Keck Medicine of USC, who specializes in repairing blocked airways. He offers expert care for all types of obstructions and is highly experienced in multiple treatment approaches.

Dr. Li’s clinical expertise also includes lung tumors, acute respiratory distress syndrome, safe recovery after lung transplants, conditions that affect both the heart and the lungs, and hypoxemia — when the lungs don’t supply enough oxygen to the blood. He is deeply committed to learning about the latest developments and new treatment methods available in his specialty.

Dr. Li believes in treating his patients with empathy and building relationships based on mutual trust. His proficiency in Mandarin, as well as English, makes his practice a place of personalized, culturally competent care for Chinese populations throughout Los Angeles.

In his free time, Dr. Li can be found playing board games, enjoying sports and relaxing at local cafés with his friends and family.
“First and foremost, I believe in compassion. I aim to develop a relationship of mutual empathy with my patients, so we can build trust and learn from one another.

The most important aspect of my relationship with my patients is that I be an excellent listener — that my patients feel heard while discussing something difficult for them. This way, I can help them as holistically as possible.”
