About Sandhya Ravikumar, MD

Sandhya Ravikumar, MD, was born, raised, educated and trained in Southern California. She completed her medical school training at UC San Diego Medical School and completed an internal medicine internship at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Ravikumar completed her neurology residency and headache fellowship at Keck Medicine of USC. In 2018, she joined the faculty of the Department of Neurology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. 

Dr. Ravikumar has experience treating all headache syndromes, including migraines, cluster headaches, occipital neuralgia, as well as intracranial hypertension, intracranial hypotension, trigeminal neuralgia, facial pain and concussions. She is interested in a team-based, holistic approach to treating headache disorders in collaboration with physical therapy, occupational therapy and pain psychology. She is board certified in both Neurology and Headache Medicine. 

She is passionate about medical education in neurology and is currently the USC Neurology Clerkship Director and Neurology Faculty Advisor at the Keck School.

At the time of the appointment, I'd had a rather traumatic experience the day before (medical transport driver texting & sleeping during long distance drive) and result was a bad PCS migraine episode. Care I received was both immediately soothing and helpful.
