Dr. Nara Lee is an Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology at the USC Keck School of Medicine and the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Born in South Korea and having lived in Japan, she moved to the United States while in middle school.
Dr. Lee attended George Washington University where she graduated with a B.S. degree and magna cum laude honors. She subsequently received her M.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. There, she developed an interest in cancer and conducted research that was recognized with the Harry E. and Loretta A. Jordan Award for Research in Cancer and Neoplastic Disease. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey where her commitment to patients was awarded with the Dr. Robert S. Pinals Humanism and Professionalism Award. She subsequently moved to Southern California for her Hematology Oncology fellowship at the USC Keck School of Medicine. After fellowship, she continued her affiliation with USC by joining as faculty.
Dr. Lee is deeply committed to ensuring that her patients receive the best available therapy. Dr. Lee has first-hand experience in the rapidly changing realm of cancer therapy. She also realizes that for many patients, there is only one opportunity to get their cancer therapy right. Dr. Lee uses modern therapeutics to plan and execute individualized cancer treatments for all her patients. Ultimately, what motivates Dr. Lee is being able to guide and accompany patients through their most difficult times with science and compassion.
