Dr. Jutabha is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy in 1981 and the Honors Program in Medical Education at Northwestern University in 1985. He received his medical degree and internal medical residency from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois in 1987 and 1990, respectively. He completed his gastroenterology fellowship training at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1993, and was a GI faculty member of the Division of Digestive Diseases, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA from 1993-2020.
He is currently a Professor of Clinical Medicine at Keck School of Medicine of USC, and the Director of Clinical Outreach and Development, Keck Hospital of USC. His field of specialization is in the area of diagnostic & therapeutic endoscopy. Dr. Jutabha oversees a preeminent research group in the United States & Thailand that develops innovative digital health solutions, and minimally invasive & remote diagnostic techniques for the evaluation and treatment of various gastrointestinal disorders. He serves as a peer reviewer for numerous clinical journals in gastroenterology.
In addition, he is involved with various projects related to the globalization of healthcare services including international educational programs, multi-center clinical research studies, and the Thailand Regional Medical Hub initiative. Dr. Jutabha serves as an Advisor to the Ministry of Public Health, Kingdom of Thailand. He holds memberships & leadership positions in numerous professional organizations, including the World Endoscopy Organization, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, American Medical Association, Thai Physicians Association of American, Thai American Physicians Foundation.
