About Jeffrey C. Wang, MD

Jeffrey C. Wang, MD, is internationally recognized in spine care excellence, with an expertise in surgical treatment of all neck and back disorders. His specialties include minimally invasive surgical techniques to address problems with the least disruption to the body and achieve a faster recovery.

Dr. Wang’s long-standing fascination with the spine and how spinal disease begins drives his research. Among other investigations, he is exploring new technologies that can promote better, more efficient spine surgery, as well as analyzing patient outcomes to maximize positive results from surgery.

A frequent keynote speaker and visiting professor at spine conferences and universities around the globe, Dr. Wang makes clinical excellence, education and research top priorities. He has held numerous leadership roles in prestigious medical organizations, including as past president of the North American Spine Society, Cervical Spine Research Society and Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics.

His contributions to the field have been recognized with multiple honors, such as the 2020 Spine Advocacy Award from the North American Spine Society and the Senior Achievement Award from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

“I address the patient as a whole, looking to optimize all of the conservative care to correct their spinal problem. I view each patient’s problem as the most important in the world. I want to do everything possible to correct that issue and make the biggest difference in that patient’s life.

Communication is key. I was born in South Dakota and raised in West Virginia. Growing up in a rural area in a small town, where folks rely on relationships, allowed me to simplify any complex situation, address all of the issues and communicate in an effective manner.”
