About Asia N. Pon, AuD
Asia Pon, AuD, is a board-certified diagnostic audiologist at Keck Medicine of USC who specializes in cochlear implant and hearing aid amplification technology. She works primarily with adult patients to help determine which type of amplification would most improve their hearing, a process that begins with a comprehensive audiological evaluation.
Dr. Pon helps select, fit and troubleshoot hearing aids. She also assesses and counsels patients to verify if they are a good candidate for a cochlear implant. After surgery to implant the cochlear device, she activates and adjusts it to ensure the patient receives the maximum benefit from it.
Her patients can expect a whole-person approach to care that prioritizes their unique needs and values. Dr. Pon prioritizes open and effective communication so that she and her patients can mutually understand each other, and ensures patients leave every appointment feeling knowledgeable. She believes in shared decision-making and always empowers patients to take active roles in their health care.
In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Pon is passionate about helping to train future audiologists. She is a clinical assistant professor of otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
After earning her doctor of audiology from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona, Dr. Pon is thrilled by the opportunity to be back in California caring for patients in her home state. Outside of work, she loves traveling, camping, scuba diving and attending concerts and movies.

My practice is based on whole-person health care. I believe in a holistic approach to care that considers the patient’s physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual needs, as well as their biology, values, beliefs and sense of purpose.
