Keck Medical Center of USC, which includes Keck Hospital and USC Norris Cancer Hospital, is among the Top 50 hospitals in the US in ten specialties, Top 10 in California, and Top 3 in Los Angeles, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-25 Best Hospitals rankings.

Keck Medicine has achieved what many would view as impossible for such a young medical enterprise. Keck Hospital achieved Magnet status for the first time in 2018. Keck Medical Center reached a ranking in the Top 20 hospitals in the nation by US News and World Report in 2019, after only a decade of operation. We quadrupled our employee base, grew our outpatient visits by a factor of 10 to more than 575,000, and expanded in markets across Southern California and Las Vegas. With a wide variety of patient care settings and more than 100 clinics across the Southern California area, there are limitless opportunities to partner with compassionate and courageous healthcare professionals while progressing throughout your career.

At our flagship 401-bed acute care hospital we treat the toughest cases with the most advanced medicine, and pioneer path-breaking research on future therapies. Here we provide exceptional and innovative care for complex medical and surgical conditions across a wide range of specialties.

Keck Hospital is the top patient transfer destination in Southern California, evidence of the community’s trust in us. Our internationally renowned physicians care for patients at Keck Medicine’s affiliated hospitals and licensed clinics, as well as teach and conduct research at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. As a leading academic medical center, hundreds of clinical trials are currently taking place at Keck Hospital and its affiliated research institutions, giving patients access to novel and promising therapies that are generally not available elsewhere.

USC Norris Cancer Hospital

USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, our 60-bed hospital, is one of the eight original comprehensive cancer centers designated by the National Cancer Institute. The Center has been in the fight against cancer for more than 40 years, conducting research that is leading to new methods of cancer prevention, detection, and treatment.

Using a multidisciplinary team approach, the world-renowned physicians, scientists, and clinical staff of USC Norris treat and prevent cancer by developing new therapies, enhancing existing treatments and providing personalized, precision care that is the most advanced available. As one of only 51 comprehensive cancer centers in the U.S. designated by the National Center Institute, USC Norris is a leader in innovating ways to prevent and cure cancer, and to improve quality of life for cancer survivors.

USC Verdugo Hills Hospital

USC Verdugo Hills Hospital is our 158-bed community hospital serving the cities of Glendale and La Cañada Flintridge, as well as the surrounding Foothill communities of the San Gabriel Valley. For more than 40 years, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital is where our neighbors go for exceptional, comprehensive care across a broad spectrum of specialties, from labor and delivery to cardiac and stroke. Pay for Today and Tomorrow

At Keck Medicine of USC, we understand that being competitive in the market is imperative to maintaining our ability to operate at our best for each other and our patients. Our pay is market competitive, transparent, and complete with variety of incentive and special pay programs, including annual incentive programs for managers and directors, shift differential, overtime pay, and more. When extending an offer of employment, we consider a variety of factors, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities, work experience, education/training, as well as other legal, external market, and organizational considerations. Each of these factors helps us ensure equity based on today’s market conditions.

Additionally, we offer retirement plans that help our employees prepare for their future needs. Employees of Keck Hospital of USC , Norris Cancer Center, most USC Care facilities are eligible for the USC Retirement program, which offers up to 10% matching for a maximum of 15% total annual contribution. Employees at USC Verdugo Hills and Las Vegas Healthcare Center are eligible for the Keck Medicine of USC 401(k) Retirement Plan, which matches 100% of before-tax or Roth contributions up to a maximum of 4% of eligible earnings on a paycheck by paycheck basis.
