Interventional Pain Management

Our expert spine care team offers many non-surgical treatments to reduce or eliminate back pain.

Get Back Pain Relief Without Major Surgery

If you have back pain, you need relief. But major surgery doesn’t have to be your first or only option. Our expert team offers non-surgical back pain management to help you feel better and get back to doing what you enjoy.

Interventional pain management involves a variety of treatment options designed to reduce or eliminate back pain. These treatments are minimally invasive, so you’ll have smaller incisions and faster recovery times.

Our interventional pain management options include muscle or joint injections and nerve blocks. We also offer implanted devices to manage chronic back pain and procedures to desensitize pain-causing nerves.

Specific treatments we offer include:

  • Basivertebral nerve ablation
  • Indirect spine decompression
  • Muscle or joint injections
  • Nerve blocks (somatic/regional and sympathetic)
  • Neurolysis procedures (radio-frequency ablation, pulse radio frequency)
  • Spinal cord stimulators

Interventional pain management treatments may be an excellent first step in treating your back pain. We often combine these treatments with stress reduction techniques, biofeedback training, exercise and acupuncture. When needed, we also combine interventional pain management with medicine and surgery.
