Keck Medicine of USC’s Expectations Within a Healing Environment

Keck Medicine of USC aims to create a healing environment by committing to the delivery of excellent care and encouraging respectful interactions between patients, families, visitors, and caregivers.

We Support:

• A safe, healing environment free from aggressive behavior.
• Using respectful language.
• Following hospital visitation guidelines.
• A violence-free space.
• A smoke and vape-free environment.

We Do Not Allow:

• Illegal drug use or possession of any kind.
• Guns or weapons of any kind within our facilities.
• Disruptive behavior such as yelling, cursing, intimidating gestures, physical harm, or harm to property.
• Racial slurs and other offensive remarks of any kind.

Individuals who have not followed our expectations for a healing environment will be given the chance to explain their point of view. Please be aware that you may be asked to leave our health care facilities and make other plans for your future care. You may also not be allowed to visit again in the future.
