The problem is, this doctor is only available one afternoon per week, which is very limiting for scheduling.

Dr. Soffer was 30 minutes late and not interested in listening to me give him a brief history of my GI health. He was very dismissive and frankly not compassionate at all.

He was to the point, which I like, but he also interrupted quite a bit and gruffly-so I felt a little foolish or unheard. I appreciate his thoroughness by reading the reports I sent over and contesting the definitions I was given, however, when he offered me an alternative diagnosis, he did not describe its impact on my wellbeing (he did use medical jargon to describe the subtle differences between the diagnoses, but not in a way that is meaningful to me.like, is this precancerous or not?). Overall, the interaction was okay, but I cannot say that I left feeling "good" or listened to. I might hesitate in the future to really talk to him. Yet, he was action-oriented and quick with his referral and analysis, so that is likely good.
